3) Use the Energizer Bunny control panel to set up the Bunny.
Note: Some virus-protection programs (GateKeeper, SAM, Virex, etc.) may warn you about some of the operations performed by the installer. This is normal. You should always give the installer permission to perform the requested operation. You may find it easier to disable any virus-protection programs before running the installer.
The installer will install the Bunny on your startup disk. To install on another disk you will need to use the "Startup Volume" control panel to change which disk is your startup disk. Then restart the machine. Then run this installer. Most people only use one startup drive, so they won't have to mess with this.
The installer will install the following things on your hard disk:
1) a control panel file called "Energizer Bunny"
2) a folder called "Energizer Bunny Prefs"
In System 7, these will be placed in the Control Panels Folder and the Preferences Folder for you. If you are running in System 6, they will be placed in the System Folder for you.
If you are using System 6, the installer will also make sure that you have a file called "32 Bit Quickdraw" in your System Folder. This is an extension needed by the Bunny. If the file is not already there, the installer will add the file.
Once Installation is complete, you will need to restart your machine to make the Bunny available.
Once the Bunny has been installed, if you need to prevent it from loading at startup time for any reason, you can simply hold down any key (including the caps lock key) while the machine is starting up, and the Bunny will be skipped.
